This is actually my second attempt at this character. I had attempted a first one then found out Carl created a much better one months before using a similar recipe. Then the new Venom figure came out and I started work on a new recipe. But then Kirk's Kustoms made an awesome version of Bane using Venom. Since I had already thrashed 6 figures in trying to make this guy, I said fuck it and decided no more good figures must perish.

The recipe combination I was going to use was unnecessarily complex and realized that Kirk was brilliant in retaining Venom's legs for his custom. So I ended up following his lead. Plus the hip and knee joints are already black so no need for paint rub prepping.

The head and neck was from a ML3 Wolverine coz I still looooove it's range of movement. I sculpted the rest of the costume details with epoxy putty and Apoxie sculpt then glued in random crap from the DCDirect Bane and DC Superheroes Bane.

I was going to use the boots from the DC Superheroes Bane, since it had all the articulation I wanted. But the scale nazi in me found the boots to be too tall and disrupted the proportions I wanted for this guy. I looked to the DC Direct Bane with it's less articulated boots and decided to bite the bullet and use them instead. BUT I really wanted to give this guy a swivel at the top of the boots. So I cut up the DCSH Bane right above the calf swivel, attached that to my Bane, then took out the DCSH boots then drilled a hole in the DCD boots plugged them in so that they would rotate. So the only loss of articulation I have is the side to side ankle movement. Yea I just read what I typed and have no idea what this moron is talking about. Time to step away from the computer right about............................................................
