This is one of those characters I know very little about but I fell in love with his costume and color scheme ever since I saw him as a kid watching Superfriends.

The base is a Marvel Legends Cable figure. The arms were switched with ML 3 Wolverine. I dremeled away the pouches on his thighs, the techno detail on his left shoulder, the boot details, and most of his front torso. Then I resculpted those parts with Apoxie sculpt and Epoxy putty. The harness was a modified He-man chest harness. His harness design was a fine way to hide the abdomen articulation of the original Cable figure while still keeping the articulation functional. The helmet and the wings were from the DC Direct Hawkman. I dremeled the brow of the helmet and resculpted it to give him an angrier brow.

Since in the comics the wings is something he just straps on, I used the DCD Hawkman wings because it looked less natural. I also liked the small amount of articulation they provide. They were just a nightmare to attach on.

The fun part of this project was gluing random stuff to the figure, something I rarely get a chance to do. I glued various crap, sheaths and belts to accomodate an arsenal worthy for one of the world's greatest warriors. I'm always jazzed whenever I dwindle my massive supply of accessories.

When I was painting him I tried to create an ancient worn look with his straps as a playful contrast to the vibrant superhero spandex. But once again my crappy lighting doesnt capture most of it.
