I took apart the DC Direct Hush Scarecrow mask and found a creepy pair of eyeballs and teeth amongst a flat featureless face underneath.. Since I'm in this big kick of facial expressions and Batman rogues' I thought I'd do something fun, scary and sinister for the character. I sculpted a new mask with Apoxie Sculpt, with the help of dental floss for the threads in the mouth.
For the body, I used an old Spiderman figure who's sculpt I just adored. I think it was called Spider Sense Spiderman at the time. It had a great lanky body that could be used for Scarecrow. So I dremeled that figure down and sculpted Scarecrow's threads with Epoxy Putty. It seemed appropriate since I wanted to give him a really rough textured quality to make him look more worn and dirty. I also tried not sanding and smoothing the Epoxy afterwards to get the effect.
The collar and the wonderful expressive hands also come from the Hush Scarecrow. Then it was just basically a matter of dirtying up the fig with paint. I was going to add more bits of detail to him but once again I've lost interest and moved on to the next rogue.
