This was my second attempt at a Baroness. The first one was made out of a Marvel Legends Storm with the head from a ML Black Widow.
I ended up giving that version away, so I had to make a new one. This time around I used a Black Widow body, Storm's boots, with the head and arms from a Fantastic Four Sue Storm. I choose Sue Storm's face for a number of reasons: I thought that her facial structure somewhat had a European quality to it, also her hair seemed perfect for an old school Baroness. And most importantly her likeness reminds me of my friend's mom. Oh Edna.....
Anyhoo, I cut off Black Widow's arms and neck and set the replacement parts from Sue Storm in place, then covered them in epoxy putty to make them stick. I then sculpted all the costume details with Epoxy Putty. The glasses came from a DC Direct Tim Hunter. Sue Storm's left arm was too long so I ended up shortening it, by cutting, drilling and pegging. And in order for her to be able to hold a weapon, I gave her the right hand of a ML Elektra. I'm a huuuuuge fan of painting gloss so I'm excited to get another excuse in using it. Looking back, I should have replaced her elbow joints as well, as Sue's elbows don't have much range of motion.
