Another one of my favorite Joes, I wanted to give him a more heroic build than what I'd normally do for a GI Joe character. I absolutely love the sculpt detail on the elbows/forearms of the TNA Elix Skipper figure so I wanted to show that off. And I also loved the wonderfully sculpted hips of the TNA Alex Shelley figure. Since Elix Skipper didn't have ab articulation, I sawed off him off from beneath the pectorals and transplanted the body parts of Alex Shelley from the abs down to his shins. They were then held together with Epoxy Putty. The boots were from the Scott Steiner that I used to make Big Boa from. The trigger hands came from the parts bin. Then it was the usual dremel down and sculpt him back up with Epoxy Putty and Apoxie Sculpt. The shotgun shells came from Marvel Legend's Black Widows wrist gauntlets trimmed off.
Elix Skipper's head was popped off with a hairdryer and saved for a later custom. The head is an original sculpt then casted. I wanted to give him the cocky grin of the original figure, I dunno if it comes off though.
I also wanted his snazzy beret to be removeable and ordinarily I would coat his head with vaseline before sculpting any removeable piece but I couldn't find any. So ironically enough I ended up using hair gel over his hair, then sculpted the beret on top of that, so when it dried, you can pull it off easily.
