The body came from an Ultimate Muscle Kid Muscle figure.  I popped the head off and kept the ball joint sticking out of the body.  The new head was a Marvel Legends Captain America with the wings cut away and a visor made from epoxy putty.  I wanted to keep the nifty head articulation of the figure so I ended up dremeling away the base of the neck of  Captain America's head.  I made sure the ball joint would fit in the space I just dremeled, then wrapped epoxy putty around the ball joint to keep it in place.  I had to make sure that the epoxy putty didn't dry around the ball joint to keep the articulation intact.

The straps came from a 12 inch scale elastic rifle strap.  The holster, grenades and knife sheath came from various Special Forces figures.  The pouches also came from the harness of Special Forces figures cut individually.    The sword and scabbard hailed from an Oda Nobunaga of Onimusha 2.

To keep the articulation I had to dremel/sand the joints awhole bunch to avoid paint rub. The knees weren't too bad but the elbow joints needed the most work.  I sanded them down to the point that none of the joints came in contact with one another.

To finish the figure off I sprayed him with Krylon grey primer, then I spraypainted the figure a navy blue.  Then I airbrushed some black in for shading.  A coat of Dullcote then seals the deal.  So far it's held up pretty good.
