The Lord of Apokolips was made from a Dragon Ball Z Burter figure. Although his size in the cartoon seemed to fluctuate, I wanted him to be bigger than Superman and Burter seemed to be the perfect scale. The left hand was cut and repositioned. 
The armor and skin details were dremeled off. Then the figure was basically covered in epoxy putty followed by a lot of sanding. 

Burter's head was whittled down to a stump with me trusty dremel, and then rebuilt with epoxy putty one facial feature at a time. The belt was a rubberband superglued into place. I'm pretty proud of how this one came out, despite the karate choppin right hand.
