This one was made from an X2 Cyclops figure.  The new threads were sculpted with epoxy putty.  The light up eyes of the original  figure still works and was the main goal in this exercise. I made an incision right along the side of the original figure's face and the head was able to come off like a rubber mask, leaving the wires, and light bulb intact.  Retaining the light up eyes meant no oven baking and that the new head had to be sculpted around the light bulb using epoxy putty.  It's so thin you can't see it but the ruby quartz part of the visor is cut from clear red plastic.  Unfortunately the light isn't as bright since I elongated the head sculpt and the light bulb can go no higher than the nose of the new head.  The collar was cut from toothpaste tube.

When making the jacket on his back, I made sure that the battery cover was still removable by sculpting around it.  X2 Cyclop's hands looked too small with the new head so I switched them with Ultimate Muscle hands. I didn't sand the joints like I normally would, since the original figure was black, paint rub ain't a big deal.
