2D's custom Lady Deathstrike Figure

I had started this one at the same time as my Psylocke custom, after the disappointment of the Elektra figure, which was the only super articulated female figure at the time. So I wanted to make female customs that had the poseability I wanted and still look ok. Psylocke went in one direction and Yuriko here got a hip transplant from good ol Parachute Spider-man. I figured the ball design would go well with her segmented pant pattern. I used Elektra's neck, arms, and lower legs. All the sculpted costume elements was sculpted with Epoxy Putty. The tabard was cut from Elektra's skirt.

I really didn't know how to start all this until the brilliant Therewasme suggested using a Dark Alliance Jade figure for the head and hands, and was gracious enough to point me to a cheap unpainted ebay auction. I bought the fig and ended up using Jade's breasts as well coz it was a sexy sculpt. The hands were fantastic but I still felt the fingers could have been longer so I drilled a hole in each finger and stuck in a paperclip for more length. After a few months, I discovered Apoxie sculpt and used that to cover the fingers and make them look less like fingernails. One of the paperclip fingers broke off when I moved to my new place and I've been too lazy to fix it back. Good thing you can't see it in the pictures. Tell no one.
