I was clearing out some old figures when I stumbled upon the X-men Legends Boxset Rogue. The finished product of that figure had a reputation among toy geeks as being not so pretty. Then I remembered my friend Samuron making a joke challenging me to do something with that Rogue face a few years back. I ended up making a lot more modifications than I had originally thought as I reshaped the nose, brow, eyes, and lips to my liking. I also sculpted new front hair with Apoxie Sculpt. It turned out ok, not perfect, nor my ideal choice for a Jim Lee styled face but at least I got this fodder out of the way.
I wanted to update her hip articulation as well so I used an Invisible Woman/Black widow body. I replaced the head and popped off Rogue's arms at the second bicep swivel and popped them into the new body and glued them shut. I also cut off Rogue's kneepads and glued and epoxied them to the new body as well. Then it was just repainting the costume. Going back to painting tights was a nice change of pace after painting camo and clothes. I also printed off some red X-logos and glued them onto the sleeves of her jacket.
I had originally left Invisible Woman's feet ( which was also used on several Marvel Legends Females) but Beautimous One made fun of them saying it looked like duck feet. So I went back and cut off her feet then drilled and pegged them with Psylocke's feet. She may have lost the toe articulation but she does look slicker now. Now she needs a Gambit to keep her company.
