NightCrawler

Toybiz has made a number of Nightcrawler figs over the years yet none of them had articulation that I was happy with. Especially after being spoiled by Marvel Legends and the like. So I frankensteined this version of him with what works in the 5 inch scale. The torso, arms, tail, and knees came from the Nightcrawler from the All New All Different box set. The hips and thighs were from a Halloween Jack from Xmen 2099.

The hands and feet from the box set Nightcrawler had humongous hands and feet so they were a no go. I ended up using the hands from an Xmen Evolution Nightcrawler, I popped the evolution hands and wrapped the peg in epoxy putty which was in turn connected to the elbow joint. I waited 10 minutes and right before the epoxy putty dried and adhered to the peg, I twisted the hand a couple of times, therefore retaining the swivel wrist articulation. It seems like all the Nightcrawler toys had huge feet so I used the ones from that Nightcrawler that lit up since it had the smallest pair.

The head was made from Super Sculpey pegged into the stump where the original head used to be. The collar was cut from toothpaste tube. Everything else was epoxy putty.
