I have fond memories of reading the Wolverine limited series to my older cousin as her bed time story when I was twelve, complete with voices and sound effects.  I just absolutely loved this story and it definitely played a part in my long spiral to geekdom.  Once I completed my Frank Miller inspired Wolverine, it was only a matter of time before he had a playmate.  Shingen here is the father of the Silver Samurai as well as Logan's long-time love Mariko.  The first time Shingen fought Wolvie he kicked Logan's ass using only a wooden sword.  

     The head was an original sculpt made from Super Sculpey and the body was an X2 Nightcrawler with a sculpted collar, a tie cut from toothpaste tube, and coat from movie Prof X.  I dremeled the pants legs some to give them pleats.  The hands were extra Lara Croft hands I had lying around and the feet were cut from J Jonah Jameson from the movie Spiderman line.  Those feet were then pegged into Nightcrawler's ball socket ankles to keep the articulation, but useful  mobility is nullified anyway by the pant legs.  As always, the joints were sanded down with a dremel to ensure full mobility, though not much was needed as Nightcrawler had big enough gaps in his joints.

      The Clan Yashida honor sword is some Metal Gear Solid sword with a newly sculpted tsuba.   Mad props to the artistic talents of Sniper2190 who helped me big time with the pics.
